Matt Barton

Matt Barton brings more than 25 years of leadership and entrepreneurial experience in real estate to his role as President of the Mountain States Region for Gold Nation. He has successfully led through major market disruptions, including the post-9/11 era, the Great Recession, and the COVID-19 housing market, building a career that began as a successful agent and evolved into brokerage ownership and executive leadership. After selling his own firm, Barton helped scale the acquiring brokerage as Principal Broker, leading its growth to more than 500 agents over seven years. He has also played an influential role in the industry through service on the Board of UtahRealEstate.com, including two terms as Board Chair, as well as leadership roles in association governance, legislative advocacy, and political action. Over the past five years, he has focused on creating an ownership-minded, vertically integrated model spanning brokerage, lending, title and escrow, marketing, and insurance. At Gold Nation, Barton is committed to expanding this collaborative model across the Mountain States region to help agents and brokerages build stronger, more profitable, and more scalable businesses.
